Miami Heat Betting Preview
The Miami Heat have been in a major slump as they’ve lost 10 of their last 13 games overall and they will be hoping for a better outcome after getting thrashed by the Raptors in a 128-114 road defeat last night. Bam Adebayo led the team with 24 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists on nine of 14 shooting, while Jaime Jacquez Jr, Tyler Herro and Davion Mitchell each scored 15 points. As a team, the Heat shot 56 percent from the field and 14 of 35 from the 3-point line, but their problems were on the defensive end as they allowed 69 points in the first half to trail by as many as 26 points which was always too much to overcome despite the Heat scoring 40 points in the third quarter.
Washington Wizards Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards have been absolutely ice-cold as they’ve dropped 24 of their last 25 games overall and they are now on an eight-game slide after getting beaten by the Bulls in a 119-108 loss last night. Will Riley led the team with 23 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, Julian Reese added 16 points with 15 rebounds and two blocks while Leaky Black and Anthony Gill each scored 14 points. As a team, the Wizards shot 40 percent from the field and 10 of 38 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Bulls in a tightly contested first half, before they got blown away in the third quarter where they allowed 35 points to trail by as many as 19 points at one stage. Jamir Watkins had a rough game as he shot just nine points on three of 12 shooting in 28 minutes off the bench.
Miami v Washington Free Prediction
The Heat are still missing Nikola Jovic and Dru Smith, while the Wizards are missing a bunch of players including Alex Sarr, Tre Johnson, Trae Young and Anthony Davis who are all out. You couldn’t back either side with any confidence at the moment, but the Heat have already beaten the Wizards three times this season by an average of 22.6 points so it’s no surprise to see the Heat as heavy favorites once again. Both teams are playing this game on zero days rest, but while the Heat have been below their best, they should relish the opportunity to take on the ice-cold Wizards following a tough stretch.
