Miami Heat Betting Preview
The Miami Heat have been on a great run as they’ve won seven of their last nine games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this spot after getting beaten by the Mavericks in a 118-108 road defeat on Wednesday. Kel’el Ware led the team in scoring with 22 points and 10 rebounds on eight of 11 shooting off the bench, Bam Adebayo added 21 points on 10 of 19 shooting while Tyler Herro chipped in with 20 points. As a team, the Heat shot just 40 percent from the field and 11 of 37 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 33 points in the first quarter to take the early lead, but they just could never recover after the Mavericks closed the second quarter on a 26-10 run. Things only got worse in the second half where the Heat fell behind by 17 points which was a shame because they cut the deficit to just four points with 2:54 left on the clock before the Mavericks slipped away. Andrew Wiggins had a rough night as he shot just four of 18 from the field for his 11 points.
Orlando Magic Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic have been in fine form as they’ve won nine of their last 12 games overall, but they will be hoping for a better result in this one after having their three-game win streak halted by the Spurs in a 114-112 loss on Wednesday. Franz Wagner led the team with 25 points and six assists on nine of 17 shooting, Jalen Suggs added 24 points on 10 of 20 shooting while Desmond Bane chipped in with 14 points and six assists. As a team, the Magic shot 45 percent from the field and nine of 27 from the 3-point line as they struggled to get going and had to work so hard to overcome an early 15-point deficit to tie the game with 7.7 seconds left in the fourth quarter, before the Spurs’ De’Aaron Fox made the game-winning free throws with just 1.4 seconds left.

The Miami Heat could be shorthanded for this one with Norman Powell and Tyler Herro both listed as questionable, while the Magic have ruled out Moritz Wagner with Paolo Banchero upgraded to questionable. These teams last met on opening night and it was the Magic who won by 125-121 back on Oct 22. The Heat were playing some great basketball and they had won eight of nine before losing to the Mavericks on Wednesday, while the Magic were enjoying a three-game win streak before they lost to the Spurs in a heartbreaker in their last outing. The Heat really struggled without Norman Powell and now they could be without Tyler Herro, so with that being said, I am leaning towards the Magic to get the win and cover at the modest line in this spot.
