The Memphis Grizzlies pay a visit to the Atlanta Hawks duke it out at the State Farm Arena on Monday night.

The Memphis Grizzlies have been ice-cold as they’ve dropped 10 of their last 11 games overall and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after getting trounced by the Hornets in a 124-101 road defeat on Saturday. GG Jackson led the team with 19 points on seven of 14 shooting, Javon Small added 17 points while Taylor Hendricks chipped in with 14 points off the bench. As a team, the Grizzlies shot just 41 percent from the field and 16 of 46 from the 3-point line as they struggled to keep pace with the Hornets from the start and got outscored in every quarter to suffer yet another blowout defeat on the road. The Grizzlies are dealing with so many injuries that they are just spreading out the minutes with the remaining players with nine of the 10 active players playing at least 22 minutes.

Meanwhile, the Atlanta Hawks have been on fire as they’ve won 12 of their last 13 games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after running past the severely shorthanded Warriors in a 126-110 win on Saturday. Dyson Daniels led the team with 28 points, seven rebounds and six assists on 12 of 17 shooting, CJ McCollum added 23 points and five assists while Nickeil Alexander-Walker chipped in with 17 points. As a team, the Hawks shot 54 percent from the field and 13 of 40 from the 3-point line as they struggled to get any separation from the pesky Warriors in a tightly contested first half, but that all changed in the third quarter where the Hawks outscored the Warriors by 39-20 to lead by as many as 28 points at one stage.

The Grizzlies are still missing Ja Morant, Zach Edey, Scotty Pippen Jr, Santi Aldama and Brandon Clarke to name a few while the Hawks are keeping an eye on Jalen Johnson who is questionable due to a shoulder injury. These teams have already met once this season with the Hawks winning by 124-122 back on Jan 21, but a lot has happened since that meeting as the Grizzlies have barely won a game since then, while the Hawks have been in season-best form. The Hawks were always going to be heavy favorites at home against a severely depleted Grizzlies team and I expect them to cruise to a big win and cover at home in this spot.
