Houston Rockets Betting Preview
The Houston Rockets have been in decent shape as they’ve won nine of their last 14 games overall, but they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting beaten by the Hornets in a 109-99 loss on Thursday. Kevin Durant led the team with 31 points and five steals on 11 of 21 shooting while Jabari Smith Jr added 17 points, but no other player scored more than eight points. As a team, the Rockets shot 46 percent from the field which was actually better than the Hornets, but the Rockets drained just eight 3-pointers as a team compared to the Hornets who drained a total of 17. The Rockets trailed in this one by as many as 22 points before they went on a run in the fourth quarter that was all too late.
Oklahoma City Thunder Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder have cooled off a bit recently as they’ve dropped four of their last seven games overall and they will be hoping to bounce back after getting beaten by the Spurs in a 116-106 road defeat on Wednesday. Kenrich Williams led the team with 25 points on nine of 18 shooting, Jaylin Williams added 24 points with 12 rebounds and four assists while Aaron Wiggins chipped in with 20 points, six assists and five steals. As a team, the Thunder shot 40 percent from the field and 19 of 47 from the 3-point line but they allowed the Spurs to get off to a red-hot start and were always fighting a losing battle after falling behind by as many as 22 points. Isaiah Joe had a rough game as he shot just one of seven from the field for his two points.
Houston v Oklahoma City Free Prediction
The Rockets are still missing Fred VanVleet, Steven Adams and Jae’Sean Tate, while the Thunder have ruled out Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Alex Caruso and Jalen Williams and they are keeping an eye on Luguentz Dort, Chet Holmgren, Jared McCain and Isaiah Hartenstein who are all listed as game time decisions. These teams have already met twice this season with the Thunder winning the first game by one point and the second game by 20 points. I am expecting a close contest in this one but with all the injuries the Thunder are dealing with at the moment, I prefer a play on the Rockets to get some revenge in this meeting even though they haven’t looked great in their last two outings.
