The Golden State Warriors have started to turn their season around with five wins in their past six games and they will be eager to stay hot after blowing past the Nets in a 120-107 road win on Monday. Stephen Curry led the team with 29 points and five assists on eight of 15 shooting, Jimmy Butler III added 21 points with five rebounds and four assists while Trayce Jackson-Davis chipped in with 11 points off the bench. As a team, the Warriors shot 53 percent from the field and 10 of 33 from the 3-point line as they poured in 31 points in the second quarter to edge in front at halftime, but the game was actually a close game all the way until early in the fourth quarter where the Warriors went on a decisive 9-1 run to start to pull away.

Meanwhile, the Charlotte Hornets have been in decent shape as they’ve won four of their last seven games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after having their two-game win streak snapped by the Bucks in a 123-113 loss on Monday. Brandon Miller led the team with 31 points, eight rebounds and five assists, LaMelo Ball added 26 points with seven assists while Collin Sexton chipped in with 16 points and eight assists off the bench. As a team, the Hornets shot just 43 percent from the field and 17 of 46 from the 3-point line as they exploded for 40 points in the second quarter to take a 12-point lead, but they couldn’t maintain that pace and managed just 47 points in the second half to lose by double digits in the end. Miles Bridges had a quiet game of just three points in seven minutes of action before he left the game with a sprained ankle.

The Warriors are still slightly shorthanded with Seth Curry ruled out again, while the Hornets have ruled out Mason Plumlee and Ryan Kalkbrenner with Pat Connaughton and Miles Bridges both listed as questionable. The Warriors look to have moved on from their slow start to the season, they are almost completely healthy and they are coming into this contest with some winning momentum, while the Hornets were starting to get on a roll before they ran into the Bucks in their last outing. The Warriors have looked like a different team over the past six games and they open as clear favorites against this Hornets team who have played better lately. This could be a close contest, but with the injury cloud hanging over the Hornets, I prefer a play on the Warriors with the line so short in this one.
