Detroit Pistons Betting Preview
The Detroit Pistons seemed to have cooled off recently as they are now on a three-game losing streak after falling painfully short to the lowly Nets in a 107-105 home defeat last night. Tobias Harris led the team with 18 points and 10 rebounds, Jalen Duren added 17 points with 14 rebounds and three blocks while Duncan Robinson chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the Pistons shot 42 percent from the field and 10 of 26 from the 3-point line as they got off to a terrific start and dominated the Nets in the first half to lead by as many as 23 points at one stage, but they lost their focus and got outscored by 12-2 in the final 3:24 to drop a game to the ice-cold Nets who were riding a 10-game losing streak.
Miami Heat Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Miami Heat have been in fine form as they’ve reeled off seven wins from their last nine games overall and they will be gunning for a fifth straight victory after taking down the streaking Hornets in a 128-120 road win on Friday. Tyler Herro drained eight 3-pointers to lead the team with a game-high 33 points, nine rebounds and nine assists, Bam Adebayo added 24 points with 12 rebounds and four assists while Jaime Jacquez Jr chipped in with 21 points on eight of 13 shooting off the bench. As a team, the Heat shot 46 percent from the field and 18 of 38 from the 3-point line as they weathered an early barrage from the Hornets and kept the game relatively close until the fourth quarter where they held the Hornets to just 19 points to come away with the gritty road win.
Detroit v Miami Free Prediction
The Pistons have ruled out Ausar Thomspon again and they are keeping an eye on Cade Cunningham who is day to day with a quad bruise, while the Heat have ruled out Norman Powell, Simone Fontecchio and Nikola Jovic with Andrew Wiggins listed as questionable. These teams have already met twice this season with each team claiming a road victory, but the Pistons have stumbled their way into this matchup and they are playing their second game of a back to back set after squandering a 23-point lead to the Nets last night. In contrast, the Heat have been on a roll and they would’ve taken so much confidence from their win over the red-hot Hornets in their last outing, so I will take the Heat to maintain their momentum with another win in this spot.
