Detroit Pistons Betting Preview
The Detroit Pistons have been in great form as they’ve won 13 of their last 17 games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after making light work of the streaking Knicks in a 118-80 home win on Friday. Daniss Jenkins led the team in scoring with 18 points on seven of 11 shooting off the bench, Tobias Harris and Isaiah Stewart each scored 15 points while Cade Cunningham tallied 11 points with five rebounds and seven assists. As a team, the Pistons shot 53 percent from the field and 17 of 40 from the 3-point line which are solid shooting numbers, but this win was all about their dominance on defense as they swarmed the Knicks from the start and were always in control after taking a 21-point lead into halftime. The Pistons did a particularly good job defending the Knicks’ Jalen Brunson who was held to just 12 points on four of 20 shooting from the field.
Charlotte Hornets Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Charlotte Hornets have been on fire as they’ve won 12 of their last 15 games overall and they will be eager to build on their current nine-game win streak after sneaking past the Hawks in a 126-119 road win on Saturday. Miles Bridges led the team with 26 points, six rebounds and five assists on 10 of 14 shooting, Kon Knueppel added 23 points with eight rebounds and four assists while LaMelo Ball tallied 19 points with nine assists. As a team, the Hornets shot 48 percent from the field and 18 of 39 from the 3-point line as they as they battled the Hawks in a tightly contested first half, but they scored 38 points in the third quarter before going on a 13-8 run late in the fourth quarter to escape with the gritty win on the road.
Detroit v Charlotte Free Prediction
The Pistons are still slightly shorthanded with Ronald Holland II listed as out, while the Hornets are still missing Coby White and Malaki Branham. Two of the hottest teams in the league collide as the visiting Pistons battle the streaking Hornets on Monday. The Pistons suffered a hiccup loss to the lowly Wizards, but bounced back in fine fashion with a statement win over the Knicks in their last outing while the Hornets just took down the Hornets for their ninth straight win on Saturday. You can make an argument for either side here, but the Pistons were so impressive in their last outing and I think they get the job done here if they come out with the same level of intensity on the defensive end. This should be a close one, but I will lean towards the visitors at the short line.
