The Chicago Bulls and the Toronto Raptors duke it out at the Scotiabank Arena on Wednesday night.

Chicago Bulls Betting Preview

The Chicago Bulls took out the broom and swept through their executive and coaching staff in an attempt to hit the reset button on their franchise. The Bulls stumbled their way through another tough season and just couldn’t build any momentum with injuries haunting them all season, resulting in a disappointing 31-51 overall record. Nikola Vucevic, Coby White and Ayo Dosunmu were all traded away and the Bulls acquired Nic Claxton, Norman Powell and Isaac Okoro while assigning Tiago Splitter as their new head coach.

Toronto Raptors Betting Preview

Meanwhile, the Toronto Raptors put together a solid campaign last season as they finished with a 46-36 record, good enough for the 5th seed in the Eastern Conference for their first postseason berth since 2022. Scottie Barnes led the team with averages of 18.1 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game and he was a key contributor to their defense that was elite with a rating of 113.0. The Raptors eventually fell short to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round, but nothing wipes that memory away quite like the return of their former leader, Kawhi Leonard led them to their title the last time he was here.

Chicago v Toronto Free Prediction

The Bulls are keeping an eye on Nic Claxton, Isaac Okoro and Zach Collins who are all questionable, while the Raptors have ruled out Ja’Kobe Walter who is rehabbing a lingering shoulder sprain. The line is certainly hefty for a season opener, but the Bulls could be severely shorthanded which makes it tougher for a team already going through a roster makeover. The Raptors enter as the hot favorite at home, they have won the last three meetings by at least nine points and I think that trend continues as they kick things off with a comfortable blowout win at home in this spot.

Peter Tran's Pick: Toronto -9.5
