The Knicks are coming off a heartbreaking loss to Chicago but have been bolstered by Karl-Anthony Towns, who is averaging 26.5 PPG and 12.2 RPG. The Knicks are favorites, but the game should be competitive.

Despite some good individual performances, this Nets team has struggled with consistency, particularly on defense. They’ve been competitive in some games but have suffered heavy losses. The Knicks are still finding their rhythm, but their solid lineup, including Jalen Brunson and Karl Anthony Towns, suggests they’ll figure things out and be a playoff team.

Jalen Brunson Over 6.5 Assists 

Jalen Brunson is averaging 6.4 assists per game for the New York Knicks. He has been a consistent playmaker, helping facilitate the offense. In addition to his assists, Brunson has been scoring around 24.3 points per game, with notable performances including 10 assists against the Indiana Pacers on November 10, 2024.

More often than not Jalen Brunson is getting over this line of 6.5 assists. He’s leading this Knicks team in assists and has taken more of a facilitator role this season compared to last year. The Nets have struggled to contain point guards this season. They’re allowing 26.8 assists per game to opposing teams which is way above the league average. I expect this to be a higher-scoring game for the Knicks and Brunson should have enough opportunities to get over this number.

Cam Thomas Under 23.5 Points

Cam Thomas has had to be the main scorer for the Brooklyn Nets this season. He is averaging 24.5 points per game, His field goal percentage stands at 43.4%, and he’s hitting 34.9% of his three-point attempts (2.7 made per game). In addition to his scoring, Thomas is also contributing 3.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game, showcasing his all-around game. His free throw shooting is impressive as well, with a high 90.4% efficiency from the line​.

We’ve seen him have a few off games as of late though. He’s failed to hit this number in his last 3 games. It seems like this Nets team might be trying to get some other guys involved rather than playing “iso-ball” with Thomas. This Knicks team also plays good perimeter defense and is known to slow things down. With how Cam Thomas has looked recently and with him going against this Nets defense I’ll take my chances with him going under this point total.

Karl-Anthony Towns Over 11.5 Rebounds

Karl-Anthony Towns is averaging 12.4 rebounds per game in the 2024-25 season. He has been a consistent force on the boards, with strong games including a 16-rebound performance against Atlanta and 19 rebounds in a game against Houston. His total rebounds per game rank among the top in the league, showcasing his ability to contribute significantly on both ends of the floor.

One of my favorite bets this season has been taking the over on Towns’ rebounds. He’ll be matched up against Claxton of the Nets and will have the upper hand in that matchup. We saw him log in 13 rebounds against Embid just a couple of nights ago. His season-high of 19 rebounds was against Sengun which isn’t an easy task either. Expect Karl-Anthony Towns to have another big night on the glass.
