The Brooklyn Nets pay a visit to the Chicago Bulls at the Barclays Center on Sunday night.
Brooklyn Nets Betting Preview
The Brooklyn Nets have really been struggling lately as they’ve lost eight of their last 10 games overall, but they will be feeling much better after they snapped a five-game losing streak with a 112-109 win over the Bulls on Friday. Michael Porter Jr led the team with 26 points on nine of 17 shooting, Noah Clowney added 23 points with 11 rebounds while Day’Ron Sharpe chipped in with 14 points on six of eight shooting. As a team, the Nets shot 43 percent from the field and 19 of 40 from the 3-point line as they took control of the contest with a 30-17 second quarter to open up a 20-point lead and they needed every bit of it as the Bulls rallied to cut the Nets’ lead to just one point with 30.7 seconds left on the clock.
Chicago Bulls Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Chicago Bulls have been in a slump as they’ve lost five of their last seven games overall and they will be hoping to get some revenge after coming up painfully short to the Nets in a 112-109 road defeat on Friday. Nikola Vucevic led the team with 19 points, six rebounds and five assists on nine of 14 shooting, Coby White added 17 points with four assists while Ayo Dosunmu chipped in with 18 points off the bench. As a team, the Bulls shot 48 percent from the field and 11 of 35 from the 3-point line as they struggled to get going and scored just 17 points in the second quarter to fall behind by 20 points which was a real shame as they dominated the fourth quarter and were able to cut the deficit to just one point before they ran out of time.
Brooklyn v Chicago Free Prediction
The Nets are still missing Drake Powell, Ziaire Williams, Michael Porter Jr and Haywood Highsmith, while the Bulls have ruled out Zach Collins and Josh Giddey with Patrick Williams listed as questionable with an ankle injury. The Nets were able to snap out of their funk with a much needed win over the Bulls on Friday, but there was definitely a luck factor as they almost blew a 20-point lead. The bad news is that the Nets have decided to rest Porter Jr for this one which hurts their offense significantly, so I am looking at the Bulls to bounce back with a win at home in this spot.
Peter Tran's Pick: Chicago -6.5
