Boston Celtics Betting Preview
The Boston Celtics have been in great form as they’ve won seven of their last nine games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after having their three-game win streak halted by the Hawks in a 112-102 road defeat on Monday. Jaylen Brown led the team with 29 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists, Luka Garza added 20 points on eight of nine shooting while Payton Pritchard chipped in with 16 points off the bench. As a team, the Celtics shot 41 percent from the field and 14 of 37 from the 3-point line as they matched it with the Hawks in a closely contested first half, but they let themselves down in the third quarter where they got outscored by 36-22 trail by as many as 21 points at one stage.

Meanwhile, the Miami Heat have been in a slump as they’ve dropped seven of their last nine games overall, but they will be feeling better after they outlasted the 76ers in a 119-109 home win on Monday. Tyler Herro led the team with 30 points on 12 of 24 shooting, Bam Adebayo added 23 points with 16 rebounds and six assists, Pelle Larsson scored 20 points with 10 rebounds and three assists while Andrew Wiggins chipped in with 14 points. As a team, the Heat shot 46 percent from the field and 11 of 40 from the 3-point line as they hit the ground running with 38 points in the first quarter, but this was still anybody’s game until the Heat closed the final 3:08 on a 16-2 run to secure the gritty win in front of their home fans.

The Celtics are still missing Nikola Vucevic with Ron Harper Jr listed as questionable, while the Heat have ruled out Norman Powell with Andrew Wiggins listed as questionable. These teams have already clashed three teams with the Celtics winning each contest and considering the respective form of both teams, it’s hard to see anything but another win for the Celtics, especially as they are coming into this one fresh off a rare defeat. The Heat just haven’t been playing anywhere near their best lately and I expect that trend to continue here as the Celtics should be too good for them once again.
