The New Orleans Pelicans pay a visit to the Detroit Pistons at Little Caesars Arena on Sunday afternoon. Here’s a New Orleans Pelicans vs Detroit Pistons Prediction. This article will include a New Orleans Pelicans vs Detroit Pistons Pick.
New Orleans Pelicans Betting Preview
The New Orleans Pelicans have been doing it tough as they've lost eight of their last 10 games overall and they will be hoping for a better effort after getting thrashed by the Timberwolves in an ugly 134-93 road defeat on Friday. CJ McCollum led the team with 15 points, three assists, and four steals, Bruce Brown added 14 points while Kelly Olynyk chipped in with 10 points and four assists. As a team, the Pelicans shot 50 percent from the field and 11 of 31 from the 3-point line, but they were sloppy with the ball as they committed a total of 26 turnovers which plagued them throughout the entire game. Jose Alverado had a rough game in a starting role as he shot just three of nine for his nine points while Elfrid Payton finished scoreless with two turnovers in 12 minutes off the bench. The Pels will meet the 76ers after this game.
Detroit Pistons Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Detroit Pistons have been in pretty good form as they've won four of their last seven games overall. They will be looking to bounce back in this one after coming up short to the severely depleted Mavericks in a 123-117 road defeat on Friday. Cade Cunningham led the team with 35 points, seven rebounds, and six assists, Malik Beasley added 16 points while Jalen Duren chipped in with 14 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks. As a team, the Pistons shot 46 percent from the field and 11 of 31 from the 3-point line as they struggled to match the intensity of the Mavericks from the tipoff and quickly fell behind by 12 points. The Pistons fought hard to remain within striking distance the entire game but they were just never able to go on any sustained run until late in the fourth quarter. The Pistons will face the Spurs following this one.

New Orleans Pelicans vs Detroit Pistons Prediction
The Pelicans are still keeping eyes on Zion Williamson, Jose Alverado, and Yves Missi who are all questionable, while the Pistons are playing without Tim Hardaway Jr who is still out with an ankle sprain. The Pelicans have been hit hard by injuries and just don't have the firepower to hang with teams, as we saw in their 41-point loss in their last outing. Meanwhile, the Pistons were playing some good basketball before their shock defeat to the severely depleted Mavericks on Friday. The Pistons are coming into this one fresh off a bad loss, but they have been one of the most consistent teams all season, and it's no surprise that they have opened as heavy favorites here. The line might change if Williamson is able to suit up, but as it stands, I am more comfortable going with the Pistons to get a big bounce-back victory at home in this spot.
