The Philadelphia 76ers and the Dallas Mavericks duke it out at the American Airlines Center on Sunday afternoon. Here’s a Philadelphia 76ers vs Dallas Mavericks Prediction. This article will include a Philadelphia 76ers vs Dallas Mavericks Pick.
Philadelphia 76ers Betting Preview
The Philadelphia 76ers have been in a major slump as they've lost 15 of their last 17 games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a fourth straight defeat after getting beaten by the Pacers in a 112-100 home defeat on Friday. Jeff Dowtin Jr led the team with 24 points on 11 of 20 shooting, Jared Butler added 17 points while Adem Bona chipped in with 16 points, nine rebounds, and two steals. As a team, the 76ers shot 45 percent from the field and 11 of 38 from the 3-point line as they got off to a solid start and took a narrow lead into halftime. But they couldn't keep it going in the second half where they got outscored by 65-49 to lose by double digits. Guerschon Yabusele had a quiet game of just five points on one of six shooting while Adem Bona was plagued by foul trouble the entire game. The 76ers will face the Rockets and Thunder following this game.
Dallas Mavericks Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks have been in a slump of their own as they've lost nine of their last 11 games overall. They will be hoping to bounce back after getting trampled by the Rockets in a 133-96 road defeat on Friday. Brandon Williams led the team with 25 points on 11 of 14 shooting off the bench, Naji Marshall added 21 points on eight of 15 shooting while Spencer Dinwiddie chipped in with 20 points. As a team, the Mavericks shot 41 percent from the field and eight of 22 from the 3-point line as they struggled to contain the Rockets from the start. They fell behind by double digits at halftime before they leaked 71 points in the second half to suffer one of their worst defeats of the season. Max Christie had a night to forget as he shot just one of 13 from the field to finish with just two points in 34 minutes off the bench. The Mavericks will take on the Pacers, Pistons, and Nets after this game.

- The Mavericks have won each of their last eight games as favorites against opponents who are on the first leg of a back-to-back.
- The 76ers have failed to cover the spread in each of their last six games against Southwest Division opponents.
- The favorites have covered the spread in seven of the Mavericks' last eight games.

Total Points Facts

Philadelphia 76ers vs Dallas Mavericks Prediction
The 76ers are still missing a host of players including Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey to name a few, while the Mavericks are still playing without Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis, and Dante Exum. You really couldn't back either side with any confidence these days, as both teams are just missing so many key players that it's hard to figure out who the starters are going to be on a nightly basis. It's tempting to take the 76ers with the points, but the Mavericks got embarrassed in their last outing and I think they can eke out a win and cover behind a big game from someone like Williams or Dinwiddie.
