UFC Fight Night 248 takes place on Saturday from the Galaxy Arena in China, and it looks like it has a ton of quality fights. Let’s take a look at free play on each of the main card fights to make your Saturday a winning one.
Petr Yan vs Deiveson Figueiredo
Yan -310 / Figueiredo +250 // Total Rounds: 4.5
Petr Yan and Deiveson Figueiredo are facing off in a key bantamweight battle and it’s a fight that I am really looking forward to. Figueiredo is on a three-game winning streak and he moved up a weight class last year. He has a ton of confidence, but he is still the underdog in this fight. Figueiredo is using his wrestling a lot more now, and that has to be a major concern, as he going to try use that against the power of Petr Yan. I expect Yan is going to use that power nad he’s going to make life tough on Figueiredo here. I still expect it’s going to go to a decision, but Yan is going to get the job done. Back Yan by decision.
Yan Xiaonan vs Tabatha Ricci
Xiaonan -192 / Ricci +160 // Total Rounds: 2.5
This is a big time women’s fight and could have huge ramifications on the title contenders. Ricci knows with a win here, her name could suddenly get thrown into a title shot. The problem for her is she has to face off against Yan who is an elite boxer, and she is going to put the pressure here. I do think Ricci has a chance to victory here as she can take the fight to the ground and find success that way. I am not betting this one big, but taking a flyer with the underdog here. Back Ricci on the money line to cash here.
Kenan Song vs Muslim Salikhov
Song+154 / Salikhov -184 // Total Rounds: 2.5
Salikhov is getting old, and who knows how many fights he has left in the UFC. Maybe once he suffers this loss, it will be all it. Kenan Song is a good striker, but at times, his fight IQ is lacking. Even with the lapses in judgment at times, Song has the power to make life tough on Salikhov here. His power is going to be too much, and he will end up pulling the upset.
Cong Wang vs Gabriella Fernandes
Wang -950 / Fernandes +625 // Total Rounds: 2.5
There is no value on this fight one way or the other and it’s a complete stay-away spot for me. Wang is just too big of a favorite to bet on.
