Seattle (67-53) vs Baltimore (53-66)
August 13, 2025 at 06:35 PM EDT
The Line: Betting Odds: Baltimore +1.5 — Over/Under: +8.5
Seattle Mariners vs Baltimore Orioles 6:35 PM EST
Pick: NRFI
Seattle sends right-hander Logan Gilbert (3–4, 3.35 ERA) to the mound, while the Orioles counter with lefty Trevor Rogers (5–2, 1.44 ERA). The Mariners are entering the game in excellent form, winning 9 of their last 10 and 3 of Gilbert’s last 5 starts. At 66–53, they remain firmly in the AL West Wild Card race. Baltimore (53–65), meanwhile, has struggled with just a 3–7 record over its last 10 games, and has failed to gain ground in the AL East. I’m expecting both of these starting pitchers to get us out of the first inning. Gilbert is one of the premier pitchers in the MLB, and his strikeout stuff is nasty. On the other hand, Trevor Rodgers has been one of the more reliable starters in this Baltimore rotation.Â

Philadelphia Phillies vs Cincinnati Reds 5:10 PM EST
Pick: NRFI
On Wednesday, August 13, 2025, the Philadelphia Phillies (69–49) will face the Cincinnati Reds (62–58) at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati. The Phillies are entering the game on a four-game road winning streak, including a recent sweep of the Texas Rangers, and hold a 5.5-game lead over the Mets in the National League East. Cincinnati, on the other hand, has been inconsistent, with a 3–7 record over their last 10 games, and is currently 3rd in the NL Central standings. Luckily for the Reds, it looks like Hunter Greene will be returning back to action in this game. On the other side, Christopher Sanchez takes the mound for the Phillies, and he’s been lights out all season. I typically don’t love taking NRFIs in Great American Ballpark, but with these two guys on the mound, this game should be a pitchers’ duel.Â
Miami Marlins vs Cleveland Guardians 6:40 PM EST
Pick: NRFI
On Wednesday, August 13, 2025, the Miami Marlins (57–61) will face the Cleveland Guardians (61–56) at Progressive Field in Cleveland. The Marlins have shown improvement recently, with a 17–13 record since July 7, though they experienced a setback by losing four out of five games to Atlanta over the weekend. In contrast, the Guardians have been on a strong run, posting a 20–8 record during the same period. This matchup features two teams with playoff aspirations, making it a crucial game for both sides. The Marlins have Eury Perez on the mound, and despite having a rough start to the season, he has continued to get better, and so have his results. On the other hand, Gavin Williams has quietly been a stud for this Guardians team. I like both these pitchers to deal in this game, and I expect both guys to get us through the first inning without any damage.
