Dean Kremer Over 2.5 Earned Runs

Dean Kremer has delivered a mixed bag of performances for the Baltimore Orioles. Over 12 starts, he’s compiled a 5–5 win-loss record with a 4.70 ERA across 67 innings. He’s struck out 51 batters while issuing 18 walks, leading to a WHIP of 1.39. Opponents are batting .278 against him, and he’s surrendered 10 home runs so far. After a rough start to the season, Kremer is coming off back-to-back great starts. This is a spot I want to sell high on him. We’ve seen a ton of high-scoring games in this ballpark the A’s are playing in. Kremer is a volatile pitcher, and I don’t think his recent performances are sustainable.

Kyle Hendricks Over 2.5 Earned Runs

Veteran right-hander Kyle Hendricks is in his first season with the Los Angeles Angels. Over 11 starts, he has compiled a 2–6 record with a 5.34 ERA across 59 innings. He has struck out 39 batters, walked 18, and maintained a WHIP of 1.29. Hendricks continues to rely on his signature pitch mix, utilizing a sinker, changeup, and curveball to induce weak contact. However, the effectiveness of this approach has diminished. The Mariners should have a field day with Hendricks on Friday. The Mariners have been much better at hitting the ball on the road. I expect the top of this lineup to get after Hendricks early and often. 

Seth Lugo Over 18.5 Outs

Kansas City Royals vs Chicago White Sox 7:40 PM EST

Kansas City Royals right-hander Seth Lugo has made 10 starts this season, compiling a 3–5 record with a 3.45 ERA over 60 innings pitched. He has recorded 45 strikeouts against 17 walks, resulting in a WHIP of 1.15. Opponents have a batting average of .248 against him. Lugo continues to be one of the more consistent pitchers in the Royals’ rotation. The last time he faced the White Sox, he went through 20 innings. This White Sox team is a bottom 5 offense in the league. I don’t see them doing much against Lugo, and he should go long in this one.
