Tyler Mahle Under 2.5 Earned Runs

Tyler Mahle has been a standout performer for the Texas Rangers during the 2025 MLB season, showcasing impressive form following his recovery from Tommy John surgery. As of early June, Mahle holds a 5–2 win-loss record, a stellar 1.64 ERA (ranking fourth in the league), and a 1.05 WHIP over 66 innings pitched. Mahle’s recent outings highlight his consistency and effectiveness on the mound. On May 28, he delivered six scoreless innings against the Toronto Blue Jays, allowing just four hits and striking out five batters. Earlier in May, he secured victories against the Houston Astros and Colorado Rockies. I don’t see him slowing down in this one, going against the Rays, who’ve struggled to hit the ball at home this season.

Andre Pallante Over 3.5 K’s

Andre Pallante has been a consistent contributor to the St. Louis Cardinals’ starting rotation. Over 11 appearances, he has compiled a 4–3 record with a 4.23 ERA and a 1.36 WHIP across 61.2 innings pitched. In recent outings, Pallante has demonstrated improved control and effectiveness. Notably, he hasn’t issued a walk since May 4th. Pallante isn’t a guy I typically would rush to bet on, but I think the matchup is for him. The Royals have struggled to produce offense this season. Also, we’ve seen this Cardinals pitching staff perform very well in St Louis this season. Pallante should be able to give us at least 4 Ks in this one. 

Jacob Lopez Over 2.5 Earned Runs

Jacob Lopez has appeared in six games (three starts) for the Oakland Athletics, compiling a 0–3 record with a 6.32 ERA and a 1.85 WHIP over 15.2 innings pitched. He has recorded 17 strikeouts and issued 11 walks during this span. In his most recent outing, Lopez allowed six runs in the second inning, including two home runs, raising his ERA to 6.32. This Athletics pitching staff has taken a turn as of late, and I don’t think Lopez is the guy to turn that around. The Twins have consistently shown improvements at the plate as the season has gone on, and in this hitter-friendly ballpark, they should have success against Lopez. 

Carlos Rodon Under 4.5 Hits Allowed

Carlos Rodón has been a pivotal force in the New York Yankees’ rotation, showcasing a remarkable turnaround from his challenging 2023 season. Through 12 starts, he has compiled a 7–3 record with a 2.60 ERA and a 0.94 WHIP over 72.2 innings pitched. Rodón’s recent performances highlight his consistency and resilience. In a notable outing against the Texas Rangers on May 22, he delivered six scoreless innings, allowing only two hits and striking out eight batters, contributing to a 1-0 Yankees victory. Earlier, on May 17th, he overcame command issues to limit the Mets to one run over five innings, lowering his ERA to 1.72 over his last six starts. This Guardians lineup doesn’t scare me, especially with them playing on the road in this game. Rodon looks like he’s playing at a different level this season, and I like that to continue in this game.
