The Line: Betting Odds: Houston 0.0001 — Over/Under: +7.5
Jacob DeGrom Over 6.5 K’s
Texas Rangers vs Houston Astros 8:10 PM EST
Jacob deGrom has put together an excellent 2025 season for the Texas Rangers, showing that he can still perform at an elite level after battling through injuries in recent years. He comes in with a 12-7 record with a sharp 2.82 ERA and an outstanding 0.92 WHIP over 162.2 innings pitched, while striking out 171 batters. DeGrom has failed to log 7+ K’s in 4 of his last 5 starts, but I want to back him in this one. At this point in the season, this is a must-win game for the Rangers, and I expect their ace to step up when it matters most.

Taj Bradley Over 2.5 Earned Runs
Minnesota Twins vs New York Yankees 7:40 PM EST
Taj Bradley has made 25 starts in 2025 with both the Minnesota Twins and the Tampa Bay Rays, posting a 6-7 record with a 4.88 ERA over 132.2 innings pitched. He’s struck out 114 batters and carries a WHIP of 1.30. In terms of batted-ball and advanced metrics, opponents have had an average exit velocity of about 89.0 mph, a hard-hit rate of 38.9%, and a barrel percentage of 6.6%. Taj Bradley has given up 3+ earned runs in 3 of his last 4 starts, and things won’t get easier for him in this start, going against the Yankees. Taj Bradley gives up a ton of hard contact, and with the amount of power this Yankees team possesses, they will give Taj Bradley problems early & often.
Martin Perez Under 2.5 Earned Runs
Baltimore Orioles vs Chicago White Sox 7:40 PM EST
Martin Pérez is in his first season with the Chicago White Sox. Over 10 appearances, he holds a 1–5 record with a 3.27 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP, spanning 52.1 innings. He has struck out 42 batters and issued 16 walks, averaging 7.2 strikeouts per 9 innings and 2.7 walks per 9 innings. After a couple of difficult starts, I like Martin Perez to deal in this game. The Orioles have struggled at the plate on the road as well as against left-handers. Perez is a veteran pitcher, and he’s a guy I can trust getting back on the right track.
