His performance shows he’s less effective at the plate than in previous seasons, but I can’t help but take him in this spot. He’ll be going up against Chris Paddack for the Twins, who has given up 3+ runs in 4 of his last 5 starts and has struggled with giving up hard contact this season. I expect to see flashes of old Mookie in certain spots this season, and this has the potential to be one of those games.

I like him to carry that momentum into this one, going against the Giants. This Giants pitching staff has struggled away from San Francisco. It looks like Verlander will get the start for the Giants, and he comes into this one with an ERA over 5 on the road this season. I wouldn’t be surprised if Acuna hits this on his first at-bat.

He’s tallied 13 home runs, 41 RBIs, and 43 runs scored, alongside 44 walks and only 65 strikeouts. He’s been one of the hotter batters in the league as of late. In his last 4 games, we’ve seen him log a combined 20 total bases. It looks to be great hitting conditions in Philadelphia on Wednesday, and I also like his matchup going against Giolito, who came down to earth in his last start.
