Los Angeles Angels Betting Preview
In their last series, the Angels took on the Houston Astros. Los Angeles lost the first three games in that set 3-1, 9-7, and 10-4 before staving off the sweep with a Sunday win 9-8. In that finale victory, LA got two homers and a whopping six RBI from SS Zach Neto.
In the starter slot for Tuesday’s opener, the Angels will send out Jack Kochanowicz. In the first nine starts of his career, Kochanowicz is 2-5 with a 4.56 ERA.
Chicago White Sox Betting Preview
Over on the White Sox’ side, they continued their skid in a series versus the San Diego Padres over the weekend. Chicago lost all three of those 3-2, 6-2, and 4-2. The Sox’ runs in the Sunday loss came from solo homers by Miguel Vargas and Korey Lee.
It’ll be Jonathan Cannon in the start Tuesday for Chicago. This year Cannon is 4-10 with a 4.61 ERA in the first 21 games (19 starts) of his career.
Los Angeles Angels vs Chicago White Sox Prediction
I might take a stab at the Sox here. Probably not touching it, though. It’s not worth messing with if you can’t find a favorable line, and most places probably won’t have one. Cannon is 2-1 in his last three games and hasn’t been pitching too badly. He’s got eight earned over 17.2 total innings in that span. As for Kochanowicz, he’s 0-2 in his last trio with eight earned in 18.2 total frames. Kochanowicz is coming off 7.0 innings and one earned versus the Sox on September 18, though.
Chicago has scored just two runs in each of their last three games, so it’s a sizable gamble (as usual) to take them for a victory. If Cannon can keep going though—and if the pen and bats back him up—Chicago should be in a good spot on Tuesday.
