Rangers Suarez Over 17.5 Outs
Ranger Suárez has made two starts for the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2025 MLB season, posting a 1–0 record with a 5.91 ERA over 10.2 innings pitched. He has struck out 11 batters, walked three, and holds a WHIP of 1.22. In his season debut on May 4 against the Arizona Diamondbacks, Suárez struggled, allowing seven earned runs on seven hits and two walks over 3.2 innings. However, he rebounded impressively in his next outing on May 10 against the Cleveland Guardians, pitching seven shutout innings, surrendering only three singles, walking one, and striking out five. Even after a rough start to the season, I believe Suarez is still one of the more talented pitchers in the league, and he has a great matchup in this one going against the Pirates, who’ve struggled to hit all season.Â

Max Meyer Under 5.5 K’s
Max Meyer has compiled a 2-4 record with a 4.37 ERA. He has struck out 52 batters while having a 1.35 WHIP. Max Meyer had a strong start to the season but has struggled over his last few starts, giving up 5 runs in each of his last 3 outings. He’s coming off back-to-back games where he has had less than 6 K’s. The Rays’ bats looked solid in their last series against Toronto. I don’t think this is a great spot for Meyer to bounce back in with the way he’s looked as of late.
Garrett Crochet Over 6.5 K’s
Through his first nine starts, Crochet has a 4–2 record accompanied by a stellar 1.93 ERA, ranking seventh in the league. Over 56 innings pitched, he has 65 strikeouts against 21 walks, resulting in a WHIP of 1.07. Crochet is everything the Red Sox have hoped for. You might think this is a tough matchup going against the Braves, but Atlanta has struggled to hit the ball away from home. He’s coming off an impressive game where he logged 9 strikeouts against the Royals. I have no issues backing Crochet to have another solid outing.
Jack Kochanowicz Under 3.5 K’s
Over 8 starts, Kochanowicz has pitched 43.0 innings, recording a 2–5 record, a 5.23 ERA, and a 1.49 WHIP. His strikeout rate stands at 12.9%, with a walk rate of 9.7%. Opponents are hitting .284 against him, with a weighted on-base average (wOBA) of .347. This is a brutal matchup for him, going against the Dodgers’ lineup. He’s only logged over 3 Ks in 2 of his last 5 starts. I don’t see the Angels keeping him in long if things start to get ugly.
