A summary that ties it all together and produces a favorable betting outcome for the Braves vs Tigers game.

Tigers are Struggling

The Tigers are really struggling heading into this game and they have to find a way to get the offense going in this game. On Thursday, the Tigers had Tarik Skubal on the mound, but they didn’t give him any run support, and that led to the 3-1 defeat. Skubal went six innings giving up seven hits and one earned run. Gleybor Torres was the only real bright spot with the offense finishing with one hit and two walks. Over the last two games, the Tigers have scored only one run total.

The Tigers are averaging 4.8 runs while their pitching is giving up 4.24 runs per game. The offense is ranked 9th, while the pitching is ranked 12th. Getting the start for the Tigers will be Charlie Morton, who sits with a 9-10 record and an ERA of 5.56. Against the Marlins in his last start, he went four innings, giving up three hits and two runs.

Why the Tigers Will Beat the Braves

The Tigers have won five of their last six games at Comerica Park against National League opponents that held a losing record.
The Braves have lost five of their last six night games against teams that held a winning record.
The favorites have covered the run line in each of the Braves’ last four games.
The Braves have failed to cover the run line in six of their last seven night games against American League opponents.
The Braves have trailed after 5 innings in five of their last six night games against opponents that held a winning record.
The Tigers have led after 3 innings in three of their last four games as home favorites against National League opponents.

Braves Are on Fire

The Braves are on fire heading into this game and they have won five straight games. Two games ago against the Washington Nationals, the Braves won 5-0, and in the last game, they were able to secure the 9-4 victory. Marcell Ozuna had a huge game, finishing with three hits and three RBIs. Matt Olson also hit a bomb, and hitting a couple of three pointers here is a big key.

The Braves are averaging 4.43 runs while their pitching is giving up 4.58 runs per game. The offense is ranked 16th overall, while the pitching is ranked 21st. Bryce Elder is getting the start for the Braves, and he sits with a 7-10 record and an ERA of 5.56. Against the Houston Astros in his last start, he went 4.1 innings, giving up 10 hits and six runs. If they want a chance, they need him to be better.

Why the Braves Will Beat the Tigers

The underdogs have won each of the Tigers’ last four games at Comerica Park.
The Tigers have lost 12 of their last 13 night games against NL East opponents.
The Braves have covered the run line each of their last eight road games against AL Central opponents that held a winning record.
The Tigers have failed to cover the run line in 10 of their last 11 games as home favorites against NL East opponents.
The Braves have led after 3 innings in three of their last four games against the Tigers.
The Braves have led after 5 innings in six of their last seven night games against AL Central opponents that held a winning record.

Atlanta Braves vs Detroit Tigers Prediction

The Tigers’ offense hasn’t been good, but now they face off against Elder who has struggled to get outs, and something has to give in this one. Elder has just been so bad, I don’t see him finding a whole lot of success. This Tigers offense is still ranked 9th in all of baseball and they will get out to a fast start. I really am not sold on Morton either, and he sits with an ERA of 5.56. The Braves bats are going to be chasing him early, and this game will end up being a shootout. Back the over to cash.
