Over the weekend the Braves played a long set versus the Los Angeles Dodgers. Atlanta won the first two installments of that set, then fell 9-2 and 9-0 in the next pair. In the Tuesday game versus the Reds, the Braves blew an early 5-1 lead in a 6-5 defeat. Grant Holmes gave up two earned in 4.0 innings as a starter. The starter for Wednesday will be Spencer Schwellenbach. So far Schwellenbach is 6-7 with a 3.73 ERA in the first 18 games of his career.

Jakob Junis will start for the Reds on Wednesday. This year Junis is 4-0 with a 2.73 ERA in 22 games (four starts). Junis has a 42-45 career record with a 4.50 ERA in 190 games (114 starts).

Atlanta Braves vs Cincinnati Reds Prediction
I’ll stick with the Reds. Junis has been doing a pretty good job lately. In his last three starts combined, Junis has 13.2 innings and just two earned runs—without a decision. As for Schwellenbach, he’s got seven earned over his last 16.2 innings combined in three starts (a 1-1 run).
On Tuesday the Reds used a ton of bullpen arms after Williamson in order to help muscle out the comeback victory. Cincinnati had seven different pitchers on the night, so it’ll be important for Junis to eat some innings on Wednesday.
