Starting Pitching Matchup
The Baltimore Orioles did not have a starting pitcher announced at the time that this article was posted. Edward Cabrera will get the start for the Marlins here and is 1-3 with a 7.36 ERA and 43 strikeouts this season. This will be Cabrera’s first career start against the Orioles.
Baltimore Orioles Recap
The Baltimore Orioles will try to rebound after starting the series with a disappointing 6-3 loss in Tuesday’s opener. The loss was not the ideal start to the series for the O’s, who are trying to secure a second straight series win after their win over the Rangers to start the second half of the season.

Adley Rutschman has 103 hits with 17 home runs and 61 RBIs in addition to 13 doubles while Anthony Santander has 16 doubles with 27 home runs and 66 RBIs and Colton Cowser has 14 doubles and Ryan Mountcastle has a team-high 22 doubles, as does Jordan Westburg. Cedric Mullins has also contributed a team-high 16 stolen bases as well this season.

- The road team has covered the run line in nine of the Orioles' last 11 games.

Baltimore Orioles vs Miami Marlins Prediction
I’m on the Orioles here. I get the allure of backing the Marlins after their showing in Tuesday’s matchup, but the thing here is that these are two teams that don’t usually stay in the positions that they’re in after Tuesday. Stringing together strong offensive showings isn’t what the Marlins do, and when the Orioles get knocked down, they don’t stay down for long. I just don’t trust the Marlins’ bats and I don’t trust Edward Cabrera to keep Baltimore down in this game. Give me the Orioles to even up the series.
