QB Winston Watkins was 19-of-16 for 286 yards and two scores while leading rusher Andrew King had 16 carries for 122 yards and a TD.
Duke Blue Devils Betting Preview
Over on the Duke side, they took on Tulane in their first game of the year. The Blue Devils were up 10-0 going into the final quarter and finished off the game with another TD for a 17-3 victory. Duke was able to keep that momentum going in a road matchup versus Illinois for game two. The Devils were down 24-21 by the end of the first half, but eventually won it 31-27 for a nice finish.
Matched up against Stanford last weekend the Blue Devils went into the break with a relatively small lead 14-7. Duke proceeded to score 21 unanswered points in the second half though, and walked away with a 35-7 win at home. QB Walker Get was 14-of-24 for 202 yards, one TD and a pick. Nate Sheppard had 23 carries for 154 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the win.

I’ll go with Duke, but the line’s too thick to mess with. The Blue Devils are looking pretty good over these first three games, and they’re coming off another solid win over Stanford—despite nine penalties for 80 yards and a tepid 4-of-11 on third-down conversions. Duke put up 470 yards (268 rushing) and 22 first downs in the victory, while the defense gave up just 15 first downs and 2-of-11 on third downs alongside 237 total yards (164 passing). That makes 31 or more points in consecutive games for the Blue Devils.
As for the Tribe, they coughed up 569 yards in their loss to Fordham—including a whopping 428 rush yards—alongside 8.5 yards per play and 27 first downs. The offense couldn’t keep up (especially while losing two fumbles) on 423 yards and 20 first downs. This weekend’s matchup is going to be even tougher.
