Temple vs Navy Prediction
I’ll go with Navy but I’m probably not touching it. There’s not a whole lot to get excited about here but it should be a solid matchup. In any case, the Midshipmen got blanked in the second half versus Notre Dame, eventually posting 245 yards, 15 first downs and just 4-of-12 on third downs. The defense gave up 426 yards and 25 first downs on the other side. Navy has now lost three straight games, giving up 35 or more points in all of them.
As for Temple, they put up just 15 first downs and 1-of-7 on third-down tries along with three interceptions in their loss to ECU. The Owls defense held the Pirates to 4-of-12 on third downs but had trouble getting off the field all the same. Temple has also lost three straight games with 34 or more points surrendered in two of them. This is a winnable game for the Owls, but they’re going to have to contend with Navy’s hefty ground attack to come out on top.
