Army Black Knights Betting Preview
The Black Knights only have three games in the can so far this season. Army kicked things off with a pretty easy home matchup versus Bryant, scoring 21 points in the first quarter along the way to a 59-3 win. As for game two, that was Army’s first loss. The Knights were up 14-7 at the break versus South Florida but ended up falling in a tough one 28-24.
In game three versus Temple last Friday, Army was able to get back into the win column—but it was a close one. The Knights were all tied up 14-14 going into the final quarter then added another touchdown on the way to a 21-17 outcome. QB Cale Hellums scored all three touchdowns on the ground, leading the team in rushing with 22 totes for 104 yards.
Louisiana Tech Bulldogs Betting Preview
Over on the Louisiana Tech side, they also have just three games in the bag so far. The Bulldogs didn’t have any issues in their home opener versus Northwestern State, cruising to an 80-6 blowout victory. Game two versus LSU—needless to say—was much tougher. LA Tech was within a field goal at halftime but eventually lost 45-14 after a rough second half.
Back on September 19 versus Baylor, the Bulldogs entered the second half with a 20-7 deficit. LA Tech was able to add 12 points in the fourth quarter, but ended up allowing scoring in every quarter themselves during a 36-19 road loss. QB Trey Kukuk was 25-of-44 for 223 yards, one TD and one pick while also leading the rushing attack with 11 carries for 75 yards.

Army vs Louisiana Tech Prediction
I’m leaning toward Army I suppose. The Knights were able to gut out a road win versus a struggling Temple team in their last outing, generating 279 rushing yards, 5.0 yards per play and 22 first downs alongside zero turnovers. The defense gave up 459 yards, 217 rush yards and 8.8 yards per play on the other side but also held the Owls to just 3-of-9 on third downs.
As for LA Tech, they gave up 418 yards, 6.1 yards per play and 22 first downs to Baylor but also had a couple of fumble recoveries on defense. The offense had a pair of turnovers that negated that effort however, and the team committed nine penalties for 81 yards. The Bulldogs need to eliminate the mistakes and get that run defense going in this one.
