Over on the Ducks’ side, they went 8-6 in their first 14 games this year. Next came losses to Rutgers, Ohio State, Nebraska, Michigan, Michigan State, Washington, UCLA, Iowa, Purdue and Indiana. The Ducks are 2-1 since then with a loss to Minnesota in between wins over Penn State and USC. Oregon is sitting on a 10-17 overall record in the books so far this year.

In the USC matchup on Saturday the Ducks were up by three points 35-32 at the break. Oregon was outscored 38-36 in the second half but still managed to hang on for the victory on the road 71-70 in the end. Kwame Evans led the team with 21 points and eight rebounds. I’ll lean toward Wisconsin. The Badgers started a bit slowly in their home win versus Iowa over the weekend but eventually shot 53.8 percent from the field with 90 percent (18-of-20) at the line. Wisconsin was competitive on the boards and in the paint while posting just eight turnovers along the way. The Badgers are 3-1 in their last four games, with two of those victories coming versus ranked teams (Illinois and Michigan State).

As for Oregon, they’re coming off a tight and much-needed win over USC last weekend. In that one the Ducks shot well on 45.1 percent from the field but did miss some 3-pointers (4-of-16 for 25 percent). Oregon was competitive on the boards and in the paint and gave up just 38.3 percent shooting on defense. The 15 turnovers didn’t help though. The Ducks have 71 or more points in two of the last three games (both wins), so they’ll need to hit the offense hard in this matchup.
