I’m on UConn here. I don’t love laying points on the road with this season’s version of the Huskies, as I don’t feel this is the same potent lineup for UConn in either of the championship teams from each of the last two seasons. However, it’s even harder to back Providence who doesn’t really have an identity, as the defense that they were once known for and relied on at times to keep the Friars competitive, has fallen apart, allowing 80+ points in 5 of their last 6 games overall. I think that UConn needs a win here and can ill afford to slip up if they’re going to have a legitimate case to make to the NCAA tournament committee so give me UConn in this one.
