After a losing streak versus Colorado, Utah and BYU the Lancers recovered with a road win over Eastern Washington last week. Dominique Daniels finished with 34 points, four rebounds and three assists. Martell Williams added 23 points and two boards while Devon Malcolm chipped in 10 points and five rebounds over 12 minutes in the victory.

Cal Baptist put up 23-of-28 (82.1 percent) from the line in that one with a 44-34 edge on points in the paint but did have 15 turnovers in the process. The Lancers have hit a nice 69 or more points in 10 of their 11 games so far this year. If they can finish around that mark in this one Cal Baptist will be in good shape.

As for Southern, they shot well themselves (47.6 percent) in their latest loss to Texas State. The Jags got out-rebounded 32-26 however, and coughed up 19 turnovers while giving up 51.9 percent shooting on defense. Southern has a nice 69 or more points in four straight games themselves but they’ve also given up 73 or more points in three of those four.
