South Florida Bulls Betting Preview
This year the Bulls have been a mixed bag, with stretches of solid play amid a few losing runs. Hence the reason for the near-.500 record. South Florida went 5-6 in their first 11 games, beating AR-Pine Bluff, West Georgia, Portland, Wright State, and Stetson with losses otherwise versus Florida, Charleston, Middle Tennessee, Loyola Chicago, Utah State, and Bethune Cookman in that time. USF beat East Texas A&M, Weber International, East Carolina, and Wichita State in the next four, and since then it’s been a 2-4 run with wins over Tulsa and Rice. Otherwise, the losses in that stretch were versus Tulane, UAB, Charlotte, and East Carolina, giving the Bulls an 11-10 overall record so far this season.Â
In their Tuesday game versus Rice, the Bulls were in trouble with a 32-25 deficit by halftime. USF got it going in the second half however, notching a 44-32 run on the way to a 69-64 win. Leading the team in the victory was Kasen Jennings with 17 points, two rebounds and two steals. Kobe Knox added 13 points and three boards, while Quincy Ademokoya doubled up on 12 points and 12 rebounds with a pair of steals.Â
Florida Atlantic Owls Betting Preview
Over on the Florida Atlantic side, they’ve had similar mixed results so far this season. The Owls went 4-5 in their opening nine matchups, beating Indiana State, Coastal Georgia, Liberty, and Oklahoma State among losses to UCF, Charleston, Drake, Seton Hall, and Florida Gulf Coast otherwise. A 5-2 run came next with wins over FIU, Jacksonville, Texas State, East Carolina, and Charlotte alongside losses to Michigan State and Memphis. Since then it’s been a 2-3 stretch with wins over Rice and UTSA among losses to UAB, Tulane, and North Texas. The result so far has been an identical 11-10 record for the Owls as well.Â
Matched up against UTSA on Wednesday, the Owls hit a 47-32 run in the first half. FAU kept it up after the break, taking a 47-42 advantage in an eventual win 94-74. Leading the team in scoring was KyKy Tandy with 26 points, one rebound, and one steal. Kaleb Glenn came off the bench for 17 points and seven boards in 21 minutes, and Baba Miller doubled up with 10 points, 11 assists, seven rebounds, and two steals in 30 minutes.Â

South Florida vs Florida Atlantic PredictionÂ
I’ll lean toward the Owls. This one could go either way, though. We should have a pretty good matchup. FAU didn’t have too many difficulties in a home win over UTSA in their last outing, hitting a nice 54.1 percent from the field with 50 percent (14-of-28) from 3-point range alongside a 43-28 rebounding advantage. The 23-team assists were an impressive stat as well. It was a much-needed point total for FAU as well; they’d hit fewer than 66 in two of three previous games.Â
That said, South Florida has been below 70 points in four straight games themselves, so it may not take a ton of points to win this game. Should be a competitive game and a good one to watch.Â
