Over on the New Mexico State side, they’ve been comparatively inactive with just three games in the books so far. The Aggies took on Adams State in their November 4 opener and managed to power out an 83-72 victory. New Mexico State’s top scorer was Jemel Jones with 23 points and nine rebounds. Samford vs New Mexico State Prediction
I’ll lean toward New Mexico State. The Aggies had a good second half versus the Lobos last weekend in their most recent outing and won the game despite shooting a tepid 41.1 percent from the field alongside a 35-33 rebounding deficit.. New Mexico State hit some opportune shots down the stretch though, and controlled the ball well with just eight turnovers. We haven’t gotten to see a whole lot out of New Mexico State yet this year; the matchup with New Mexico was their only real relative challenge so far. That said, the Aggies should be able to handle Samford if all goes well—I’d like to see the shooting percentage creep a bit higher, though.
