Xzayvier Brown was tops again with 19 points, and Tae Davis managed to double up on 13 points, 15 rebounds and four assists in 31 minutes of work during the victory.
In their latest matchup on Saturday versus Nebraska, the Sooners took another defeat. Oklahoma was looking good at the break on a 51-44 edge then fell apart on a 61-48 deficit from there in a 105-99 defeat. I’ll stay with Oklahoma. The Sooners have shown some real potential this season but they’ve been a pretty inconsistent squad against comparable teams. Oklahoma had a rough second half in their loss to Nebraska but ultimately shot well on 52.4 percent from the field and 19-of-21 (90.5 percent) from the line. The Sooners did get outmuscled in the paint 38-28 however, and gave up 57.6 percent shooting on the other side to the Cornhuskers. Minus the 68 points in the 15-point loss to Gonzaga in game three, Oklahoma has put up 95 or more points in their other three games.
