Oklahoma Sooners Betting Preview
The Sooners were doing great in the early part of the season, but since the calendar flipped over to 2025 they’ve struggled amid some pretty tough matchups. Oklahoma kicked things off on a nice 13-0 run before taking losses to Alabama, Texas A&M, Georgia and Texas in succession. The Sooners would lose to Texas A&M again among wins over South Carolina, Arkansas and Vanderbilt in the next four games, then came losses to Auburn, Tennessee, Missouri, LSU and Florida. After a win over Mississippi State came another loss to Kentucky, giving the Sooners a 17-11 record across their first 28 games of the year.Â
In the Kentucky matchup on Wednesday, the Sooners were within two points at the break. Oklahoma kept a 41-40 run the rest of the way but fell just short in the end for an 83-82 loss. Jalon Moore led the team with 20 points, six rebounds and two turnovers in 34 minutes of work. Jeremiah Fears added 18 points with eight rebounds and six assists, while Brycen Goodine chipped in with 13 points, two boards and two steals.Â
Ole Miss Rebels Betting Preview
Over on the Ole Miss side, they’ve had a similar trajectory to their season, with a strong start followed by a choppy run since mid-January. The Rebels kicked things off with a nice 15-2 stretch though, falling to only Purdue and Memphis during that time. After losses to Mississippi State, Texas A&M and Missouri in the next three, Ole Miss hit a 4-1 run with a loss to Auburn among wins over Texas, Kentucky, LSU and South Carolina. Since then however, it’s been three straight losses to Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and Auburn. That gives Ole Miss a 19-9 record across their first 28 games this season so far.Â
Matched up against Auburn on Wednesday, the Rebels came out of the locker room with a 50-40 deficit. Ole Miss was blitzed 56-36 the rest of the way and finished with a 106-76 blowout defeat. Sean Pedulla led the team in the losing effort with 14 points, four rebounds and four assists. Both Matthew Murrell (two assists; two steals) and Dre Davis (four rebounds) finished with 12 points apiece, and Jaemyn Brakefield led the bench scoring on 13 points with two rebounds in 17 minutes of work on the court.Â

Oklahoma vs Ole Miss PredictionÂ
I’ll lean toward Ole Miss here, but you could make a case either way. The Rebels got demolished by a No. 1-ranked Auburn team in a tough road matchup during their latest outing. Ole Miss shot pretty well (47.1 percent) but also allowed 59.6 percent shooting on the other side and got outmuscled on the boards 33-20 (10-4 offensive) alongside their 10 turnovers for 18 Tigers points. That makes three straight losses for the Rebels, but they’ve at least been scoring well in that time with 71 or more points in each.Â
As for Oklahoma, they’re coming off a tough home loss to a good Kentucky team. The Sooners have played pretty well against two ranked squads in their last pair of outings, so they’ll be a tricky matchup for Ole Miss. With the home push though, I like the Rebels to power one out. Should be a fun one to watch regardless.Â
