Missouri Tigers Betting Preview
The Tigers have had a couple of spotty stretches this year but overall they’re doing pretty well record-wise. Missouri hit a 10-1 opening run with wins over Howard, Eastern Washington, MS Valley State, Pacific, Arkansas Pine Bluff, Lindenwood, Cal, Kansas, LIU, and Jacksonville State. Losses to Illinois and Auburn (and a win over Alabama State) came in the next three games, then wins over LSU, Vanderbilt, Florida, and Arkansas in succession. Since then the Tigers are 3-3 with wins over Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Oklahoma amid losses to Texas, Tennessee, and Texas A&M. That gives Missouri an 18-6 overall run through 24 games so far.Â
In the Oklahoma matchup on Wednesday, the Tigers didn’t have a ton of issues. Missouri was up 44-24 by halftime and cruised to an 82-58 win with a 38-34 second half. The Tigers’ leading scorer Mark Mitchell posted 25 points with seven boards, two steals, and two assists. Caleb Grill came off the bench for 15 points, five rebounds and three assists in 30 minutes of work, while Tony Perkins chipped in with 12 points, four rebounds, and five steals in 25 minutes.Â
Georgia Bulldogs Betting Preview
Over on the Georgia side, they were looking good back in early January but it’s been a struggle since then amid some tough matchups. The Bulldogs went 14-2 over their first 16 outings, taking out Tennessee Tech, Texas Southern, North Florida, Georgia Tech, Alabama A&M, St. John’s, Jacksonville, Notre Dame, Grand Canyon, Buffalo, Charleston Southern, South Carolina State, Kentucky and Oklahoma. Georgia has only won two games since then over South Carolina and LSU. It’s been losses to Tennessee, Auburn, Arkansas, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi State, and Texas A&M otherwise, giving the Bulldogs a 16-9 overall run this year.Â
Matched up against Texas A&M on Tuesday, Georgia was doing well after the first half with a lead of 32-23. The Bulldogs faltered from there, however, getting outscored 46-21 the rest of the way for a 69-53 defeat. Tops in scoring was Silas Demary with 19 points, four assists, and three rebounds. Blue Cain was also in double-figures with 17 points, five rebounds, and two steals. De’Shayne Montgomery led the bench scoring on just two points in 13 minutes.Â

Missouri vs Georgia PredictionÂ
I’ll stay with the Tigers in this one. Missouri is fresh off a nice win over a decent Oklahoma team in a home matchup, shooting 54.2 percent from the field with 35 rebounds. It was something of a sloppy game overall, with Oklahoma committing 17 turnovers for 16 points. Missouri coughed up 12 turnovers themselves for 13 Sooners points but held them in check shooting-wise on 31 percent from the field. That gives the Tigers 81 or more points in four of the last five games—a 3-2 span.Â
As for Georgia, they started hot against Texas A&M in their latest road loss but ended up shooting just 32.7 percent from the floor with a 42-31 rebounding disadvantage. The Bulldogs have been a mixed bag scoring-wise themselves, but they’re giving up some pretty big totals to decent offenses. Missouri falls into that category, so I like the Tigers to control this one.Â
