Little Rock Trojans Betting Preview
It’s been a pretty rough year for the Trojans so far. Little Rock opened up with a 2-2 run featuring wins over Arkansas Baptist and Ball State sandwiched around losses to Milwaukee and Marquette. The next four games were all losses, as Little Rock fell versus Murray State, Texas State, Southern Illinois and Central Arkansas in succession. Over the first eight games of the season that would give the Trojans a rough 2-6 overall record.
On Saturday versus Arkansas State, the Trojans faced a 45-39 deficit by the break. Things didn’t get better from there on a 44-39 run in the second half, and the Trojans lost 90-78 in the end. Leading the team in scoring was Johnathan Lawson with 33 points and three boards. Kachi Nzeh had 30 points with five rebounds, and Braxton Bayless added 13 points with eight assists and two rebounds in 38 minutes of work on the floor.
West Virginia Mountaineers Betting Preview
Over on the West Virginia side, they opened up the year with five straight wins. Those victories came courtesy of Mount St. Mary’s, Campbell, Lehigh, Pitt and Lafayette. After consecutive losses versus Clemson and Xavier, West Virginia took out Mercyhurst and Coppin State in consecutive games. In total over nine outings the Mountaineers kicked off their season with a 7-2 overall run.
Matched up against Wake Forest over the weekend, West Virginia was all tied up 34-34 by the break. The Mountaineers were outscored 41-32 the rest of the way however, leading to a 75-66 loss in the end. Honor Huff led the charge on 24 points in 39 minutes for West Virginia. The only other team player to finish in double-digits was Chance Moore with 16 points, eight rebounds and one assist in 28 minutes of action.

Little Rock vs West Virginia Prediction
I’ll stick with West Virginia but I’m probably not touching it. The Mountaineers shot just 40.4 percent from the field and 22.2 percent (6-of-27) in their latest loss to Wake Forest, coughing up 16 turnovers in the process. WVU did have a 32-24 advantage on the boards though, and did pretty well from the line on 18-of-24 (75 percent) there. West Virginia is just 2-3 in their last five games, however this matchup should firmly be in their potential wheelhouse.
As for Little Rock, they shot a nice 50.9 percent from the field and 50 percent (10-of-20) from 3-point range in their latest loss to Arkansas State. The Trojans were demolished on the boards 39-18 though, and got outscored 40-30 in the paint. The scoring outburst was a little unusual for Little Rock this year; WVU shouldn’t have too many issues keeping a lid on them.
