IUPUI Jaguars Betting Preview
The Jaguars have really only had a couple of decent runs so far this year. Otherwise, it’s been a string of disappointing losses. IUPUI opened on a 2-5 run with losses to Xavier, Eastern Michigan, Iowa State, Coastal Carolina, and South Carolina State. After wins over Alabama A&M, Trinity Christian IL, and Green Bay, the Jags took losses to Northern Kentucky, Fort Wayne, Lindenwood, FIU, Milwaukee, Youngstown State, and Cleveland State. Since then it’s been a 2-3 run with wins over Detroit and Green Bay mixed with losses to Oakland, Cleveland State, and Fort Wayne for a 7-15 overall run through 22 games so far.
In the Fort Wayne matchup on Saturday, the Jaguars held a 50-35 deficit by halftime. IUPUI got slightly better from there with a 45-41 advantage but still took a sizable loss of 91-80 in the end. Leading the team in scoring was Paul Zilinskas with 23 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Jarvis Walker added 14 points with three rebounds and two assists, while DeSean Goode doubled up on 10 points with 10 rebounds and a block in 28 minutes of work.
Robert Morris Colonials Betting Preview
Over on the Colonials’ side, they lost their first two games to West Virginia and Delaware before rattling off wins over Chatham University, Stonehill, Lindenwood, New Orleans, Cornell, and Canisius. After losses to Ohio, Youngstown State, and Fort Wayne, Robert Morris beat Towson, St Francis PA, and Northern Kentucky. The Colonials would fall to Detroit and Cleveland in the next three games before bagging a series of wins over Wright State, Green Bay, Milwaukee, Youngstown State, and Oakland for a 15-7 overall record on the season thus far.
Matched up against Oakland in Saturday’s outing, the Colonials hit a 35-29 deficit by the break. Robert Morris came back on a 44-36 second-half run though, resulting in a victory of 73-71 by the game’s end. Leading the team in scoring along the way was Amarion Dickerson with 17 points and two boards. Alvaro Folgueiras added 13 points with 14 rebounds and seven assists, while Ryan Prather came off the bench for 14 points and three rebounds.

IUPUI vs Robert Morris Prediction
I’m likely going to stay with Robert Morris. The Colonials posted a slow start in their latest win over Oakland, but to their credit, they were able to power out the win in the end. Robert Morris managed a nice 50 percent shooting in that one with 36 rebounds but did have 14 turnovers for 16 Oakland points. The 15-of-24 (62.5 percent) from the line wasn’t great either. Still, Robert Morris was able to keep their run going; they’ve now won five straight with 72 or more points scored in each outing.
As for IUPUI, they shot a rough 37.1 percent from the field with 11 rebounds (for 12 Mastodons points) in their latest loss to Fort Wayne. The Jaguars gave up a ton on the other side (56.6 percent) but did own the boards 40-29 (18-4 offensive). The good news is that IUPUI has scored a combined 166 points over their last pair. The bad news is that they’ve given up 72 or more points in five straight games.
