I’ll lean toward Texas Southern but it’s a coin flip. The Tigers didn’t play great against Bethune-Cookman, shooting just 35 percent from the field and 21.7 percent (5-of-23) from outside in their latest loss. Texas Southern was also out-rebounded 39-35 and had a 30-24 deficit on points in the paint. The Tigers are still a reasonable 3-2 over their last five games and scoring pretty well overall.

These teams last met up back on January 5 in an 84-67 road loss for Texas Southern. In that one Texas Southern didn’t shoot well in that one (40.7 percent) and had a 32-25 deficit on the boards alongside 15 turnovers. I’m not thrilled about their chances in the home rematch but I’ll take Texas Southern on a slight advantage.
