Eastern Michigan Eagles Betting Preview
The Eagles posted a pretty spotty 6-4 overall run in their first 10 games, losing to Pitt, IUPUI, Louisville and Butler in that time. Eastern Michigan has since gone 3-7 over their most recent 10 games. Those losses have come courtesy of Fort Wayne, Akron, Wright State, Ohio, Western Michigan, Bowling Green and Kent State. That gives the Eagles a 9-11 overall run in the first 20 games this year.
In the Kent State game last weekend, the Eagles went into the second half with a 31-23 deficit. Eastern Michigan fought back with a 35-27 run from there and forced overtime. After two extra periods however, the Eagles were left with a tough 76-75 loss at home. Mohammad Habhab was the leading team scorer on 22 points with 11 rebounds, while Addison Patterson added 17 points and six boards.
Central Michigan Chippewas Betting Preview
Over on the Central Michigan side, they limped to a 4-7 record over their first 11 games with wins over only App State, Coppin State, Adrian and Olivet. The Chippewas are just 1-8 since then, taking losses to Northern Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio, Toledo, Akron, Miami-OH, Ball State and Western Michigan in those nine outings. That makes for a 5-15 record over the first 20 games so far.
In the Western Michigan matchup back on Saturday the Chippewas were sitting in the locker room with a four-point deficit 35-31. Central Michigan didn’t get any closer than that on a 42-34 run in the second half and lost 77-65 in the end. Nathan Claerbaut put up 17 points with five rebounds while Keenan Garner doubled up on 16 points and 12 rebounds in the losing effort.

Eastern Michigan vs Central Michigan Prediction
I’ll stick with the Eagles. Eastern Michigan could use a solid bounce-back game after their tough double-overtime loss to Kent State, and this is a nice spot to get it. The Eagles shot just 35.1 percent from the field and 25 percent (6-of-24) from outside in that one with a 41-33 rebounding deficit. EMU had a 40-26 advantage on points in the paint however, and a nice day from the line (15-of-17 for 88.2 percent). That makes three losses in the last four games for the Eagles, but they’ve scored 75 or more points in three straight (buoyed by the double-overtime game on Saturday).
As for Central Michigan, they shot 36.4 percent from the field with 17.4 percent (4-of-23) from outside in their loss to Western Michigan. The Chippewas are struggling right now on a 1-8 run, giving up 68 or more points in all nine of those games.
