Bucknell Bison Betting Preview
Bucknell made some progress in the record column last season following a 13-18 run in 2023-24. The Bison ended up going 18-15 overall with a nice 13-5 record in the Patriot League. That would give Bucknell a share of the conference regular-season championship, along with American. The Bison went into the postseason on a six-game win streak, then took out Loyola MD in the first round of the Patriot League Tournament. In game two however, Bucknell took an 83-77 loss to Navy, ending their season for good on March 9.
Bucknell has one game in the bag so far this year, taking on Delaware as part of Monday’s slate. The Bison entered the break with a 34-28 edge, then cruised on a 44-42 run the rest of the way in a 78-70 victory. Leading the scorers was Amon Dorries with 20 points and five rebounds in 23 minutes. Ruot Bikiek added 14 points with seven rebounds, and Jayden Williams had 13 points with six assists and four boards in 34 minutes of action in the win.
Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers Betting Preview
Over on the Mount St. Mary’s side, they took a huge step forward last season following a 13-19 run the previous year. The Mountaineers ended up going 23-13 overall with a 12-8 record in the MAAC. That effort in the conference was only good enough for sixth place behind Quinnipiac, Merrimack, Marist, Iona and Manhattan in the standings. That said, Mount St. Mary’s went on a tear in the MAAC Tournament, beating Marist, Merrimack and Iona on the way to the championship. After a First Four NCAA Tournament win over American, Mount St. Mary’s was blown out by Duke 93-49 in the First Round on March 21.
In their first action of the 2025-26 season, the Mountaineers faced a tricky matchup versus West Virginia. Mount St. Mary’s was within six points at the break, but fell further behind from there on a 35-25 run in an eventual loss 70-54. The only team player to finish in double-figures was Trey Deveaux with 15 points and six boards in 33 minutes. Anastasios Rozakeas got close with nine points and two boards, though. Xavier Lipscomb led the team in rebounds with nine alongside his five assists and eight points.

Bucknell vs Mount St. Mary’s Prediction
I’ll try Mount St. Mary’s in this one. The Mountaineers had a tough matchup in their first outing this year versus West Virginia. Mount St. Mary’s didn’t shoot spectacularly well, going 39.1 percent from the field, 29.4 percent (5-of-17) from 3-point range and 13-of-19 (68.4 percent) from the line. The 18 turnovers really hurt as well. That said, Mount St. Mary’s out-rebounded WVU 33-25 and had a competitive evening in the paint with a 30-26 deficit. Matching up against Bucknell should be much easier.
Speaking of the Bison, they had a nice day versus Delaware in their opener, hitting 45.2 percent from the field, 41.7 percent from 3-point range (10-of-24) and 12-of-14 (85.7 percent) from the line alongside a 37-30 rebounding edge. Mount St. Mary’s will have to say strong in the paint here but I think they can pull off a cover.
