Bryant Bulldogs Betting Preview
The Bulldogs were flailing in the record column as 2025 began, but since then they’ve been much better. Bryant opened up on a 6-9 run with wins over only Dean College, Buffalo, Delaware, Tennessee State, Drexel and Vermont State Johnson. The next 13 games were an 11-2 run though, with losses to only Albany and Vermont. The wins otherwise were over Maine, Vermont, Albany, UMass Lowell, New Hampshire, Binghamton, UMBC, NJIT, Binghamton again, NJIT again and UMBC again. Through the first 28 games of the season that gave Bryant a 17-11 overall record in the books.Â
In their Thursday game versus UMass Lowell, the Bulldogs were down 42-39 going into the second half. Bryant woke up on a 40-36 run from there however, ultimately powering out the tense 79-78 comeback road victory. Earl Timberlake led the team with 17 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, four steals and three blocks. Rafael Pinzon added 16 points with five rebounds, four assists and three steals, while Kvonn Cramer had 14 points with five rebounds and one assist in 23 minutes of work off the bench.Â
Maine Black Bears Betting Preview
Over on the Maine side, they had a good run going in January/February but otherwise it’s been a choppy year. The Black Bears went 8-8 in their first 16 outings with losses to Duke, Quinnipiac, Richmond, Penn, Fordham, Stony Brook, Boston U and Bryant. An 8-1 run came next with a lone loss to Vermont among wins versus Binghamton, Albany, NJIT, UMBC, UMass Lowell, New Hampshire, NJIT and UMBC in succession. The next trio were all losses to Vermont, Albany and Binghamton though, giving the Bears a 16-12 run through 28 games.Â
Matched up against New Hampshire on Thursday, the Bears were looking at an eight-point edge on the scoreboard by the beginning of the second half. Maine kept the pace well from there on 35 more points and powered out the win in the end 73-66. Kellen Tynes led the team on 16 points, seven boards and five assists, while AJ Lopez chipped in 15 points with one rebound and one assist in 33 minutes.Â

Bryant vs Maine PredictionÂ
I’ll just stay with Bryant here. The Bulldogs didn’t play their greatest in their last matchup versus UMass Lowell, but still pulled off the victory. Bryant shot a tepid 41.8 percent from the field in that one with a 40-36 rebounding deficit and 12 turnovers for 10 River Hawks points. It was a nice return to scoring form after just 55 points in a loss to Vermont though, and gives Bryant four wins in their last five games (with 78 or more points scored in each victory). Â
The last time these teams saw each other was back on January 4 in a blowout home win 81-55 for the Bulldogs. Bryant shot very well in that one (50 percent) and had a 45-24 rebounding advantage. The Bulldogs also held Maine to just 34 percent shooting on the other side. That said, Bryant also coughed up 19 of the game’s 34 total turnovers, resulting in 16 Maine points during a pretty sloppy ball-control effort. Still, Bryant should have the advantage here in the rematch if all goes well.Â
