Bowling Green Falcons Betting Preview
The Falcons opened up their year with a few wins versus Texas State, Bethany WV and Le Moyne, then took losses to Davidson and William & Mary. Since then it’s been a 5-1 run with a lone loss to Utah Valley amid wins over Bucknell, VMI, Kansas State, Aquinas and Chicago State. That gives Bowling Green an 8-3 overall record across their first 11 outings so far this season.
In the Chicago State game on Tuesday, the Falcons were up 40-28 by halftime. Bowling Green cruised on a 36-27 run the rest of the way and took the win in the end 76-55 pretty easily. The Falcons’ Sam Towns posted 19 points with 11 boards and two assists. Troy Glover also doubled up in the win with his 10 points and 10 rebounds over 30 minutes of work on the floor.
Ohio Bobcats Betting Preview
Over on the Ohio side, they limped to a 1-6 record over their first seven games. The losses in that time were versus Arkansas State, Saint Mary’s, Louisville, Bethune-Cookman, George Mason and Loyola Marymount. Since then it’s been four straight wins over Maine, Marshall, St. Bonaventure and Ohio Wesleyan. That makes for a 5-6 record over the Bobcats’ first 11 games this year so far.
In the Ohio Wesleyan game on Tuesday the Bobcats entered the second half with a 43-31 edge. Ohio hit a 46-25 run from there and won 89-56. Bowling Green vs Ohio Prediction
I’ll stay with Bowling Green, but this one could get interesting. The Falcons shot a cool 50.9 percent from the field in their latest win over Chicago State, posting 37 rebounds, 21 team assists and a 42-22 edge on points in the paint as well. The victory continued Bowling Green’s nice run over the last six games (a 5-1 stretch). They’ve scored 71 or more points in all six of those outings—as well as every game so far this year.
As for Ohio, they didn’t have much issue with Ohio Wesleyan outside of a spotty 4-of-16 (25 percent) success rate from 3-point range and 13-of-20 (65 percent) from the line. The Bobcats posted 39 rebounds, 28 team assists and a 62-22 advantage in the paint to make up for it. Ohio is on a nice four-game win streak right now, and they’ve scored 79 or more points in each of those—with 88 or more in each of the last three. If the Bobcats can keep that run going, we’ll have a very entertaining matchup on our hands Saturday.
