As we conclude, we will tie it all together with a summary that produces a sensible pick for a favorable betting outcome in this game.
Binghamton Bearcats Betting Preview
The Bearcats only managed to win three of their first nine games this year, so things didn’t exactly start out so well. Binghamton would hit a five-game losing streak after that, then took a win over Elmira on December 29. Next came losses to NJIT, Vermont, UMass Lowell, Albany and UMBC in succession. That would give the Bearcats a 4-16 overall record in their first 20 games of the year.
On Thursday versus New Hampshire, the Bearcats were sitting pretty at halftime on a 40-26 advantage. Binghamton was outscored 31-17 in the second half however, and had to go to overtime. After three extra periods, the Bearcats left with a disappointing road defeat 88-82. Wes Peterson led the charge in the loss with 28 points and three assists alongside one rebound.
Maine Black Bears Betting Preview
Over on the Maine side, they didn’t exactly start out the year on a tear either. The Black Bears lost each of their first 11 games, then got a win over Boston U before losses to Canisius and Drexel. A 2-4 run came in the next six, featuring losses to Bryant, UMBC, Vermont and New Hampshire during that stretch. In their first 20 outings of the year the Bears managed to go only 3-17 overall.
Matched up against Albany on Thursday the Black Bears were down by nine points 33-24 going into the second half. Maine got better from there on a 28-16 run, eventually taking the comeback win 52-49 at home. Both Mekhi Gray (three rebounds; three assists) and Logan Carey (one rebound) scored a team-high 13 points and Ace Flagg added 12 points with eight boards.

Binghamton vs Maine Prediction
I’ll lean toward Binghamton but I’m not touching this game. The Bearcats are coming off a tough road loss versus New Hampshire despite shooting a reasonable 44.8 percent from the field with 88.9 percent (16-of-18) from the line. Binghamton’s 13 turnovers didn’t help, nor did their 44-38 rebounding deficit. The Bearcats have now lost six games in a row, scoring fewer than 69 points in five of those outings.
As for Maine, they shot a pretty rough 39.1 percent from the field and 21.4 percent (3-of-14) from 3-point range in their comeback win over Albany, not to mention the 35-21 rebounding deficit. the Bears won the game though, and that gives them a 2-2 record over the last four. Maine has scored fewer than 68 points in three straight, though.
