Oklahoma Sooners Betting Preview
Oklahoma got off to a flawless start in the early days of the season. The Sooners have been pretty spotty since late December, though. Wins over Lindenwood, Northwestern State, Stetson, East Texas A&M, Providence, Arizona, Louisville, Georgia Tech, Alcorn State, Oklahoma State, Michigan, Central Arkansas, and Prairie View came in the first 13 games, then losses to Alabama, Texas A&M, Georgia and Texas in the next four. Oklahoma would go 3-3 in their next six games with wins over South Carolina, Arkansas, and Vanderbilt. The losses were to Texas A&M, Auburn, and Tennessee, giving the Sooners a 16-7 overall record through their first 24 games of the 2024-25 season.Â
In the Tennessee matchup over the weekend, the Sooners were blitzed 45-25 in the first half alone. Oklahoma got slightly better in the second on a 27-25 advantage but still took a sizable loss 70-52 in the end. The team’s only player to reach double-figures was Jalon Moore with 12 points, four rebounds, and one steal. Brycen Goodine got close with nine points, two rebounds, one assist, and one steal, and Jeremiah Fears had eight points with two steals.Â
Missouri Tigers Betting Preview
Over on the Missouri side, they looked great through mid-January but they’ve been a bit choppy lately record-wise. The Tigers took out Howard, Eastern Washington, MS Valley State, Pacific, AR-Pine Bluff, Lindenwood, Cal, Kansas, Long Island U, and Jacksonville State during a nice 10-1 start. Missouri would lose to Illinois and Auburn (with a win over Alabama State in between) over the next three games, then took out LSU, Vanderbilt, Florida, and Arkansas in succession. The Tigers are 2-3 since then with wins over Ole Miss and Mississippi State among losses to Texas, Tennessee, and Texas A&M. That gives Missouri a 17-6 overall run through their first 23 outings of the year.Â
Matched up against Texas A&M on Saturday, the Tigers opened up the second half with a 38-29 deficit. Missouri made a game of it on a 35-29 run from there but fell short in a 67-64 loss when the dust settled. Tamar Bates was the team’s leading scorer with 16 points with three rebounds. Jacob Crews came off the bench for 14 points, two rebounds, and two steals, and Mark Mitchell added 12 points with three rebounds.Â

Oklahoma vs Missouri PredictionÂ
I’ll stay with Missouri in this one. We should have a fun matchup here if both teams play to their capabilities, though. The Tigers are coming off a tough home loss to a good Texas A&M team. In that one, Missouri shot just 39.6 percent from the field and 23.8 percent (5-of-21) from outside along with 14 turnovers for 14 Aggies points. The 64-point total was the Tigers’ lowest since posting 53 in a road loss to Texas on January 21.Â
As for Oklahoma, they shot a miserable 32.1 percent from the field in their latest loss to Tennessee. The Sooners are just 1-3 in their last four games, but to be fair all of those were against ranked teams. Missouri will be another tricky matchup, and I like the Tigers to eke out a home cover in a pretty competitive game.Â
