Florida Gators Betting Preview
It’s been a great run for Florida so far, with only a few scattered losses. The Gators took out South Florida, Jacksonville, Grambling, Florida State, Florida A&M, Southern Illinois, Wake Forest, Wichita State, Virginia, Arizona State, North Carolina, North Florida, and Stetson in succession over their first 13 outings. Florida would hit a 2-2 run from there with losses to Kentucky and Missouri bookending wins over Tennessee and Arkansas. Since then it’s been a 4-1 stretch with a lone loss to Tennessee among wins over Texas, South Carolina, Georgia, and Vanderbilt, giving the Gators a 19-3 overall record through 22 games so far this year.Â
In the Vanderbilt matchup back on Tuesday, the Gators were down by a point heading into the second half. Florida hit the gas from there on a 51-39 run and took the comeback victory at home 86-75. Will Richard was the team’s leading scorer with 21 points, seven boards, and three assists. Alex Condon posted 19 points with nine boards and four assists, while Denzel Aberdeen chipped in 13 points with three assists and two rebounds.Â
Auburn Tigers Betting Preview
Over on the Auburn side, they’ve been pretty darn great themselves this year, with just one loss in the books. That one was on December 4 versus Duke, preceded by wins over Vermont, Houston, Kent State, North Alabama, Iowa State, North Carolina, and Memphis. Since then it’s been a string of wins over Richmond, Ohio State, Georgia State, Purdue, Monmouth, Missouri, Texas, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Georgia, Tennessee, LSU, Ole Miss, and Oklahoma. The result so far has been an excellent 21-1 overall run through the first 22 outings.Â
Matched up against Oklahoma in the Tuesday game, the Tigers opened with a 10-point advantage in the first half. Auburn closed on an even better run, hitting a 54-36 stretch for a 98-70 blowout win. Tops in scoring were Johni Broome (five rebounds; six assists; three steals; three blocks) and Chad Baker-Mazara (two rebounds; one assist), each with 15 points. Denver Jones chipped in with 13 points, three boards, and four assists as well.Â

Florida vs Auburn Prediction
I’m going to lean toward Auburn. This should be a pretty fun matchup regardless of what happens, though. The Tigers took out a pretty good Oklahoma team without too much difficulty this week, hitting a nice 52.5 percent from the field with a 38-28 rebounding edge. The 22 points off 15 Sooners turnovers didn’t hurt, nor did the 33.3 percent shooting allowed. Auburn is doing great on the scoreboard over their last three games. They’ve hit 87 or more points in each of those.Â
As for Florida, they’re coming off a pretty sharp effort against Vanderbilt—despite a slow first half. The Gators ended up shooting 57.4 percent from the field in that one with a 35-29 rebounding advantage. Florida did give up 10 turnovers for 15 Commodores points though, which could get them into trouble if that trend continues against Auburn. This is the first in a pair of tricky road matchups ahead for the Gators (Mississippi State is up next on Tuesday), though. Given the fact that Florida was demolished 64-44 by Tennessee in their last road outing, I like Auburn a little better here.Â
