Fordham Rams Betting Preview
Fordham hasn’t been able to keep their heads above the .500 mark so far this season, even though they’ve had a few solid runs during this campaign. The Rams opened on a 3-5 stretch with wins over Seton Hall, Binghamton, and Georgian Court amid losses to St. John’s, Manhattan, Drexel, Penn State, and San Francisco. Five straight wins came next over New Hampshire, Fairleigh Dickinson, Maine, Bryant, and Albany in succession, then six straight losses. Those came versus St. Louis, St. Bonaventure, VCU, Davidson, UMass, and Loyola. Since then it’s been wins over Duquesne and La Salle for a 10-11 overall run this year.Â
In their matchup with La Salle on Wednesday, the Rams jumped out to a 46-32 edge by the break. Fordham stayed in front in the second half on a 42-40 run and took the win 88-72 in the end. Leading the team in scoring was Romad Dean with 15 points, eight rebounds, and two assists. All three bench contributors finished in double-figures, paced by Matt Zona with his 13 points, one rebound, and one steal. Joshua Rivera doubled on 11 points and 10 boards.Â
St. Bonaventure Bonnies Betting Preview
Over on the St. Bonaventure side, they did a great job in the record column through their first 15 games. The Bonnies have hit the skids in their last seven, though. St. Bonaventure lost to Only Utah State during a 14-1 opening run. Otherwise, it was wins over Cal State Northridge, Canisius, Florida Gulf Coast, Le Moyne, Mansfield, Bryant, Northern Iowa, Bucknell, Buffalo, Providence, Siena, Niagara, VCU, and Fordham in that time. Since then it’s been a 2-5 stretch with wins over Richmond and Dayton. The losses otherwise were versus Saint Louis, La Salle, Duquesne, George Mason, and VCU, giving the Bonnies a 16-6 overall run so far this year.Â
Matched up against Dayton in their Tuesday outing, the Bonnies came into the second half leading by seven points. St. Bonaventure hit a 36-21 run the rest of the way, rolling to the 75-53 win in the end. Lajae Jones was the top team scorer with 23 points and seven rebounds. Melvin Council added 18 points with five boards and seven assists as well.Â

Fordham vs St. Bonaventure PredictionÂ
I’ll stick with the Bonnies. St. Bonaventure bagged a nice win over a pretty good Dayton team in their last outing. The Bonnies shot a nice 50.9 percent in the much-needed victory, outmuscling the Flyers on the boards 36-27 and posting just six turnovers. St. Bonaventure had scored fewer than 64 points in the previous four games (a 1-3 run), so the 75-point total was a welcome sign.Â
These teams last saw each other back on January 4 in an 86-66 road win for St. Bonaventure. The Bonnies scored 43 points in each half while posting a 34-27 rebounding advantage and scoring 13 points off 13 Rams turnovers. Fordham comes into this road rematch with consecutive wins in the bag, so they’ll likely be a little more confident this time. I still like the Bonnies to power it out at home, though. They’re the much better team on paper anyway.Â
