SE Louisiana vs. Northwestern State Prediction
I’m going to lean towards Northwestern State here. I don’t love the game necessarily, but there’s one thing that really stood out to me when I analyzed this game. SE Louisiana is the worst team in the Southland in conference play in terms of free throw rate allowed, or how often your opponent gets to the line. That’s not good news against a Northwestern State team that’s above average in getting to the line and is the best free throw-shooting team in conference play, shooting 79% from the line. Neither defense is anything special so if everything cancels out, home court and that edge at the foul line gives the edge to Northwestern State for me here.
