Wofford vs. Chattanooga Prediction
I’m with Chattanooga here. I don’t think the Mocs necessarily run away with this one, because Wofford’s defense does match up fairly well with the Mocs and Wofford has a significant edge in rebounding here. The thing is though, Chattanooga is the 2nd-best free throw shooting team in the conference, shooting 79.1% from the foul line in conference play while Wofford is the worst in the SoCon, shooting just 55.9% from the line in conference play. That’s a 23.2% difference from the line. If both teams got 50 free throws in the game, Chattanooga’s hitting 11 more free throws! And in a game that I could see being decided late, I want the team that’s going to hit those free throws in the clutch so give me Chattanooga here.
