Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks Betting Preview
The Skyhawks have had their ups and downs this year, but things have gone slightly better lately. TN-Martin opened up with a couple of wins over Illinois State and Kentucky Christian, then hit a losing streak versus North Alabama, Longwood, Texas A&M-CC, Le Moyne, Tennessee, and Charleston Southern. A 2-3 run ensued with wins over Montreat and Champion Christian among losses to Alabama State, Morehead State, and Little Rock, then came a couple of wins over Southeast Missouri State and Western Illinois for a 7-9 record on the year.
In the Western Illinois matchup on Thursday, the Skyhawks held a 45-42 edge at halftime. Tennessee-Martin gave it away in the second, however, and needed overtime to power out the eventual win 85-83. Leading the team in scoring was Tarence Guinyard with 31 points, three assists, four steals, and two rebounds. Vladimir Salaridze doubled up on 17 points with 10 boards, four steals, and three assists, while Matija Zuzic added 16 points with three rebounds in 28 minutes of work on the court off the bench.
Lindenwood Lions Betting Preview
Over on the Lindenwood side, they’ve had a spotty year themselves and have been unable to hold their heads above .500 in the record column. The Lions lost five of their first seven games versus Oklahoma, New Orleans, Robert Morris, Valparaiso, and Missouri alongside wins over University Health Sciences and Pharmacy and Stonehill. A 4-2 stretch came next with losses to Ole Miss and Tennessee Tech alongside wins over East-West, Harris-Stowe State, IUPUI, and Western Illinois. Following losses to Eastern Illinois and SIU Edwardsville, the Lions took another win over Tennessee State to hit a 7-9 run over their first 16 games of the year.
Matched up against Tennessee State on Thursday, the Lions entered the second half sporting a 34-29 deficit. Lindenwood fought back from there on a nice 43-28 run and took the eventual win 72-62 in the end. The top in scoring on the team was Anias Futrell with 24 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double. Nathan Johnson added 11 points with seven boards, and Markeith Browning put up 10 points with four assists and one steal.

Tennessee-Martin vs Lindenwood Prediction
I’ll stay with TN-Martin, but you could obviously call this one either way. The Skyhawks gutted out a nice overtime win versus a middling Western Illinois team in their last matchup despite 17 turnovers for a whopping 17 Leathernecks points. TN-Martin shot 43.5 percent from the field in that one and had 39 rebounds. During this current 5-3 run, the Skyhawks have 69 or more points in six of the eight games.
As for Lindenwood, they started pretty slowly against a struggling Tennessee State team but everything worked out well after a nice second half. The Lions shot just 38.7 percent from the field though, and got out-rebounded 43-39. The 22 points off 19 Tigers turnovers certainly helped. That makes 71 or more points in six of the last seven games for Lindenwood, so TN-Martin is going to have to have a nice offensive outing here in order to cover/win.
