Green Bay Phoenix Betting Preview
The Phoenix haven’t had much luck at all in the win column this year, though they didn’t start things out horrendously. Green Bay went 2-3 over their first five games, losing to Oklahoma State, St. Thomas MN, and Providence in that time with wins over Western Illinois and SIU Edwardsville otherwise. Since then it’s been a string of losses for the Phoenix, though. Those defeats have come versus Evansville, Ohio State, Campbell, IUPUI, Cleveland State, Milwaukee, UC Santa Barbara, Michigan Tech, Drake, Fort Wayne, Wright State, and Northern Kentucky in succession during that time. The result has been a 2-15 record so far this year.
In the Northern Kentucky game last weekend, the Phoenix entered the second half holding a slim 33-31 deficit. Green Bay wasn’t able to get any closer than that though, falling behind on a 45-29 run for an eventual loss 78-60 in the end. Leading the team in scoring during the losing effort was Marcus Hall with 19 points and four rebounds. Preston Ruedinger added 13 points, six assists, and five rebounds, and Ryan Wade put up six points with two assists off the bench.
Milwaukee Panthers Betting Preview
Over on the Milwaukee side, they beat Lakeland in their opener this year, then fell to Northern Iowa and Longwood. The Panthers got it going again on wins over Duquesne, Portland State, Wofford, and St. Thomas Minnesota, then fell to UCF and Southern Miss in the next pair. Milwaukee would take out Cleveland State, Green Bay, Akron, North Central College, and IUPUI in the next five games before a 1-2 run. The lone win in that trio came versus Detroit, sandwiched between losses to Oakland and Fort Wayne for an 11-6 record thus far.
Matched up against Fort Wayne on Wednesday, the Panthers came out of the locker room with a 40-32 deficit. Milwaukee fought back in the second with a 41-38 advantage but ended up losing in the end 78-73. Top team scorer Themus Fulks had 18 points with four rebounds and two assists, while Kentrell Pullian had a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Jamichael Stillwell also doubled up with 15 points and 11 boards with three steals, and Erik Pratt came off the bench to deliver 10 points with three boards in 23 minutes of work.

- Milwaukee has won the first half in five of its last six day games.
Why the Green Bay Phoenix will win
- Green Bay has won each of its last five road games against Milwaukee following a road loss.
- The road team has won the first half in nine of the last 12 games between Green Bay and Milwaukee.
Green Bay vs Milwaukee Prediction
I’ll stay with Milwaukee in this one. The Panthers couldn’t make the comeback against a pretty good Fort Wayne team in their last outing, ultimately shooting a dim 38.6 percent from the field and 68.4 percent from the line alongside 15 turnovers for 19 Mastodons points. The scoring total (73) was promising, however, considering Milwaukee had fewer than 65 points in consecutive games prior to that. Normally the Panthers are a better scoring team than that this season.
As for Green Bay, they shot very well from 3-point range (13-of-26 for 50 percent) in their latest loss to Northern Kentucky, but also got out-rebounded 38-25 and had 13 turnovers for 25 Norse points. The Phoenix have been below 58 points in four straight games themselves, so I don’t see them keeping pace if Milwaukee gets going on the scoreboard.
